Marcelle and Tamsin's
Shrine of Chaos

Hello, I'm Tamsin.  Marcelle's the one for telling stories around
here, so I'll keep mine short.  I'm not originally from here, I
suppose I was born in England because that's where I first remember
being.  I lived for some number of years (I never bothered to count,
even if I had known how at the time) barely scraping a life off the
street with my cat, Johnson.  He was the one responsible for getting
me here, for one day by the docks, he jumped onto a small ship in
search of the elusive odor of fish.  I followed him cautiously,
knowing what trouble I'd be in if I was caught snooping around a ship.
I didn't plan on getting caught, but I didn't want to risk any
trouble I didn't need to.  Just my luck, the ship cast off just as I
stepped aboard.  I managed to secret myself (it was a big ship) on the
short trip across the channel, then found myself in a foreign land,
with nothing more than I had when I left, but that wasn't saying much.
Johnson and I scrounged around for a while, faring worse than we
normally did, until I met Marcelle, but I'm sure she'll tell you about
that.
And I am the elusive Marcelle!  I have always lived in Paris, unlike
Tamsin.  I was born from a large family, but none of us were very
close-knit.  Every once in awhile, one of Frollo's soldiers would stop
by the house and visit my mom.  She would shoo off the few kids that
were hanging around for a few days.  Finally, when I was about four or
five, my mom sent my little brother and I away, but when we came back
a week later, there was a new family living there.  I didn't care for
any of my siblings, seeming as how we had never been close anyway, so
I simply left them to fend for themselves.  I wandered around the
city, finding people to steal from and food to scrounge out of
gutters, until something changed my life forever.  I was about to cut
a woman's purse, when, suddenly, a cat jumped out of the shadows and
started nuzzling my leg and purring so loud, the woman turned around,
saw me, and rushed away.  I sneezed, being very allergic to cats.  I
kicked at it, trying to get it to go away, but it refused.  Finally,
it clawed its way up into my arms and clung for dear life.  Then, a
girl showed up.  She announced that the cat was hers.  I demanded that
she take it away.  We both tried to get the cat off me, but it
wouldn't let go.  Finally, we decided that we would stick together, if
the cat wanted us to.  We wandered around Paris, staying to the
outskirts of town, until we found an abandoned house with an overgrown
garden.  Since the garden had a nice large tree, and was somewhat
sheltered, we decided to live there.  Finally, after several days of
talking, we got on a first-name basis.  My new best friend, and my
only friend, was named Tamsin.

So here we are, and we hope to stay together forever!  Welcome to the
Shrine of Chaos, and enjoy your stay!
